The election of the next rector, who will lead the University for the next six years starting from 1 April 2021, is approaching. To inform the electors in view of 23 February, the two candidates, professors Massimiliano Sala and Flavio Deflorian, will present themselves to the academic community in a series of online meetings. Some of these events have been organized by the University, others have been organized directly by the two candidates. The calendar of meetings is full: five will take place between 20 and 28 January, all at 15.00.
It all starts on Wednesday 20 January with a meeting for teaching and research staff of the departments and centers of the Trento campus (Economics and Management, Law, Sociology, Humanities, School of International Studies), to continue on Thursday 21 January with the Rovereto campus (Psychology and Cognitive Sciences and CIMeC, Center for Mind/Brain Sciences) and on Monday 25 January with the Povo-Mesiano campus (Department of Industrial Engineering, Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Cellular, computational and integrated biology-CIBIO, Mathematics, Physics, C3A-Agriculture, Food, Environment Center). A meeting especially aimed at technical and administrative staff and language experts of the University will take place on Wednesday 27 January. Finally, on Thursday 28 January the candidates will meet with the students who are members of the Student Council and with student representatives in University bodies and in the bodies of departments and centers.
The meetings will be moderated by the doyen, professor Remo Job. Members of the University community can only attend the meeting organized for their group, and can comment and ask questions through the chat function.
