After a long period of closures, restrictions and masks, the theme of new edition of TEDxTrento is an invitation to restart on the right foot: "Respira", breathe. The 2021 summer edition focuses on reclaiming your personal, interior and physical space, and that is why the event will take place in a special and amazing location, Malga Terlaga, at 1827 meters above sea level on Mount Paganella, in the Brenta Dolomites.
TEDxTrento will run from 11 to 15.30, but pre-event activities will start at 9 in the morning with yoga, tai-chi and mindfulness seminars that focus on breathing, taught by qualified instructors. The heart of the event, however, will be, as usual, speakers and performers. They will be 13 in this edition, and they all have the same passion and desire to share experiences and reflections on the theme, as the organizers of TEDxTrento have told us. "In the past difficult months, we have realized how breathing really is an essential part of our existence. We take it for granted, we think it's an easy thing to do, but it is not that simple. That's why we decided to organize the ninth edition of TEDxTrento in the open air, on our wonderful mountains that reward us with beauty for the eyes and mind. Let's restart from here, taking a long and deep breath of air, to open our minds to all the ideas that our speakers will bring on our famous red dot".
These are speakers of this edition (see the attached information sheet for their short bio): Luca Pappalardo (researcher at CNR in Pisa); Marco Nieri, bio-researcher, expert in habitat health; Paolo Simoni, co-founder and director of Home Movie; Riccardo Rea, artist; Tamara Lunger, high altitude mountaineer; Chiara Chistè and Simone Brilli, performers; Elisa Ricci, professor of AI at the University of Trento; Myrtha Zierock, agricultural entrepreneur; Nicola Segata, professor of genetics at the University of Trento; Andrea Mustoni, biologist; Daniel Lumera, writer; Andrew Basso, illusionist and escapologist; Francesco Bruni, helmsman of Luna Rossa.
Two new faces and voices will entertain the audience attending in person and from home from all over the world: Francesca Cazzaniga and Evelyn Leveghi.
Malga Terlaga can be reached by cable car and an easy 300-meter walk, or in about two hours from Andalo on foot or by bike, following the trails. In case of bad weather, the event will take place at the Palacongressi Andalo Life (Viale Del Parco, 3).

You can watch TEDxTrento in live streaming from the website www.tedxtrento.com. The talks will also be available in Italian on the TED.com platform a few days after the event, and will be translated into English and many other languages.
