Festival Punti di Vista (II edition)

Prof. Francesco Pavani opens the event with a talk on the many ways of experiencing deafness

Versione stampabile

After the first edition in 2022 dedicated to Tactility, the Punti di vista Festival returns to Palazzo Esposizioni Rome, this time dedicated to the Signs and Sign Languages. Two days to visit the Palace, to observe the exhibitions from different points of view and to look at the world and people through multiple languages, from art to science, up to cinema. A festival dedicated to everyone, imagined and created with the collaboration of an important network of partners, from ENS Lazio to the Lega del Filo d'Oro, from the CIRCLeS inter-university network to the ISTC-CNR LaCAM, from the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) to the CREI Cooperative, up to ISISS Magarotto and CODA Italia. A rich calendar of events in LIS with translation into Italian includes visits to current exhibitions led by deaf art historians and amateur astronomers, performances by deaf artists, university conferences on the topic of deafness, stories of experiences on research into specific LIS signs in scientific or artistic fields, deaf cinema screenings, readings and workshops in LIS and much more.

Prof. Francesco Pavani (CIMeC, University of Trento and vice-director of the Inter-University Research Center "Cognition, Language and Deafness" -- CIRCLeS) participates by opening the event with a conversation on the many ways of experiencing deafness (March 16, h. 10.30 am - 13.00 pm)
