Daniele Fontanelli, full professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Trento, has reached a significant milestone in his scientific career by being elevated to the rank of IEEE Fellow, a prestigious honor awarded by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Each year, the IEEE grants this title to approximately 0.1% of its over 460,000 members worldwide. The selection process, conducted by the IEEE Fellow Committee, is based on rigorous evaluation criteria and recognizes members who have achieved exceptional results in the institute’s fields of interest.
The IEEE aims to advance technology for the benefit of humanity. In addition to honoring excellence, the organization publishes over 200 scientific journals and organizes more than 1,700 international conferences annually, continuing to foster innovation and knowledge sharing on a global scale.
