Developing protocols for the production of medical-grade silk for biomedical use

In its meeting on 23 March 2021 the Municipal Council of Rovereto has approved the funding of a post-doc position for Biotech Center to develop protocols for the production of medical-grade silk for biomedical use.
This applicative research will use as raw material the silk produced by company Lagaria Sas at the "Orto San Marco", in Rovereto and it will represent one important component of the socio-economic project to revive the tradition of silk in Rovereto, that the Municipality has been implementing.
