The University of Trento joined DigiEduhack, an international initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), for the third consecutive year, as part of the European Union Digital Education Action Plan that takes place worldwide on 9 - 10 November.
This year the participants will be able to compete back in person in the local hackathon, organized by our Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science in collaboration with Hub Innovation Trentino (HIT) and BOOGIE-U on the challenge entitled #5 “FabLab Unitrento and Apelab: Combining innovative methods of learning with a maker approach".
The theme of the challenge concerns the design of laboratory educational activities that can be truly carried out locally in the territory, in particular in the areas regarding the design of: educational board games, festivals for high schools, laboratory and educational activities, multimedia installations.
Students, teachers, researchers, innovators, professional educators, both individually and in teams, can participate in the challenge.

In the 2020 challenge, the "Squiddy" project of the UniTrento Provolosi team was among the winners of the competition, getting the € 5,000 prize.
For those interested, the following webinars will be held on 3, 4 and 5 November during which the organizers will give more information on the objectives and rules of the hackathon. The webinar registration link will be available only to registered participants.
