The didactic activity of the department presented to the Advisory Board

The periodical meeting with the representatives of the public and private companies and the research entities that joined the Advisory Board of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, took place on May 4 at the building Polo Fabio Ferrari in Povo. The Advisory Board has the task of constantly giving indications on the adequacy of existing courses of study and proposals for changes or new ones.

During the meeting, the Director of DISI, Paolo Giorgini and the Coordinator of Didactics Farid Melgani, illustrated the initiatives and objectives of the Department in terms of teaching activities.

The three-year and Master's degree courses coordinators then presented the study programs in more detail.
Among the various innovations presented, the revision of the Master's degree course in Information and Communications Engineering, the new English course of the degree in Computer, Communications and Electronics Engineering and finally Competitive Manufacturing, the new double degree program proposed for the Master's degree in Computer Science in collaboration with EIT Manufacturing.

The meeting took place finally in person again, allowing the members of the Advisory Board to visit three of the nine educational laboratories created thanks to the ministerial funds of the Departments of Excellence: the Multisensory Interactions Lab, the IoT & Robotics Lab and the FabLab.

 "The meeting with the Advisory Board is a moment of mutual enrichment - comments the Director Giorgini - which allows us to work together on an innovative training project aimed at concrete and constantly evolving needs".
