Apply to the EIT Manufacturing Master School double-degree programme – track Data Science and AI for Competitive Manufacturing (DS) within the Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Trento. 

DS track combines the study of Manufacturing Science with Information and Communication Technology (ICT), focusing on the usage and adoption of advanced digital solutions in the manufacturing sector.

The program offers mobility, mentorship, networking, innovation and entrepreneurship, including relevant training on how to transform ideas into businesses. Students will learn how to develop business models, business cases and business plans. EIT Manufacturing Master’s graduates  will be able to generate startups or innovation within manufacturing companies and ecosystems, contributing to European competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and the creation of new jobs.

EIT Manufacturing Mobility Scheme

EITM programme lasts 2 years and it is organized in the following way:
The first year is spent at one university (entry) and the second year at another (exit) university in two different European countries.  

Entry point for DS track:

  • University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) or
  • Ecole Centrale de Nantes (ECN), France

Exit point for DS track:

  • Università di Trento, Italy, within the Master of Science in Computer Science 

The study cycle has 120 ECTS credits:

  • technical courses 60 ECTS 
  • specialization 15 ECTS 
  • Innovation & Entrepreneurship  courses 30 ECTS 
  • Master Thesis 30 ECTS 

At the end of the program, a Master's degree will be awarded by both universities involved in the mobility scheme. Moreover, students will receive an "EIT label" certificate, attesting to the skills gained during the programme.
