The qualifying event Google #Hash Code 2019 took place on February 28th 2019 at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, in collaboration with the Trento-based company SpazioDati.
Hash Code is a team competition promoted by Google dedicated to programming: the participants form a team and choose a programming language to solve specific problems "in support" of the engineers and developers of Google.
"At the European level, there were about 70,000 registered participants, and the groups that managed to solve the problem were over 6,700. 150 students from the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science took part, divided into 40 groups of 2-4 students. 26 groups managed to deliver a solution, giving UniTrento the title of "most active Italian hub." The best group managed to rank eighth in Italy, 184th at the world level ", said Professor Alberto Montresor, promoter of the event at UniTrento.
