What Is the Internet of Musical Things (IoMusT)?

The Internet of Musical Things is an emerging research area positioned at the intersection of the Internet of Things, computational audio, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Examples of the so-called Musical Things are the new family of intelligent and connected musical instruments, and the tactile devices designed to enrich the spectators' musical experience.

This growing movement is known as the IoMusT and the founder is prof. Luca Turchet, who has recently published a scientific article on musical haptic wearables for augmented and participatory live music performances.

Furthermore, this field has recently received the attention of the blog All About Circuits, which dedicated an entire post about it.
