The Department of Engineering and Computer Science reaffirms its excellent results recognized so far in various international rankings. As a matter of fact, the Best Global Universities ranking just released by the U.S. News & World Reporting scores the University of Trento at the first position in Italy in Computer Science, no. 13 at the European level and no. 78 worldwide with an overall scoreboard reaching 62.1 points.
The ranking classification methodology is based on 10 different indicators of excellence that measure universities' academic performance and reputation. In the field of Computer Science, the University of Trento obtained the best results in publications and citations impact indicators.

The Best Global Universities ranking by U.S. News & World Report is an annual ranking of world universities. The ranking methodology is based on 10 different indicators that measure universities' academic performance and reputations. The ranking has since been revised and expanded to cover 1,500 institutions in 81 countries and now includes five regional and 28 subject rankings.
