The International Inner Wheel is one of the largest women's service organizations in the world.
For over twenty years, District 206 (Italy) of International Inner Wheel has been awarding a prize for female excellence.
Created by Past Governatrice Giuliana Vallerini, the award was established to recognize significant contributions of women in various professional fields. In the past, the prize was awarded to women musicians, writers, painters, sportswomen, photographers, craftswomen, women entrepreneurs and others.
This year, the organization focused on research in the STEM area and particularly in chemistry, mathematics and physics, to shed light on the talent of young women engaged in these fields of study to highlight their successes and encourage them to pursue new goals.
Mima Stanojkovski, researcher of the Department of Mathematics, will receive the award during the ceremony that will take place on Friday 5 May 2023 at 10.30am in Bassano del Grappa (VI), at the "Bubbles" architectural structure at Nardini Distillery, Via Madonna di Monte Berico, 7.
