The call for applications to the 39th cycle of the Doctoral Programme in Information Engineering and Computer Science - IECS of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI) - academic year 2023/2024 is now open!
The call in numbers
36 scholarships available divided as follows
- 7 scholarships funded by DISI Department reserved for specific research topics
- 19 scholarships funded by Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) reserved for specific research topics
- 6 scholarships funded by PNRR reserved for specific research topics
- 4 scholarships funded by University of Trento
The scholarships topics cover the following 4 Research Areas:
- Area A: Deep and Structured Machine Learning; Language Speech and Interaction
- Area B: Cyber Security; Embedded Intelligence and Robotics Systems; Systems and Networks
- Area C: Data Intelligence; Social Informatics; Software Engineering and Formal Methods
- Area D: Artificial intelligence and machine learning for data analysis; Earth observation and planetary exploration; Medical ultrasound imaging; Remote and Distributed Sensing; Signal Processing and Recognition
Further positions with or without scholarship may be added.
How to apply
To participate in the selection procedure, it is necessary to fill in the application online within May 30th at 4:00 pm CEST.
It is strongly recommended not to wait until the last few days prior to the deadline to submit your application.
After completing and sending the application, please make sure to receive an email notification confirming the definitive completion of the application procedure.
The list below provides a short non-exhaustive summary of what to upload on the application:
- scanned copy of the applicant's ID or passport
- M.Sc/M.A. degree transcript of records and diploma
- Curriculum Vitae
- Motivation letter
- Research Proposal
- Certificate attesting the knowledge of English language at B12level
