Coronavirus (covid-19): important updates

The recent cases of Coronavirus (covid-19) have made even more necessary appropriate measures compared to what was already underway.

In compliance with the Provincial order and with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health to avoid crowded enclosed places, all 

  • Teaching and learning activities (lectures, exams, degree ceremonies)
  • Conferences
  • Seminars
  • Events due to take place in university buildings
  • Public selection procedures
  • Front office operations, including meetings with students, to avoid people gathering in one place. Academic and administrative staff are invited to make themselves available through other channels.

are suspended until Sunday 1 March.

As a precautionary measure, libraries, study spaces and university sport facilities will be closed as well until 1 March.

Opera Universitaria closed university canteens and restaurants.

Public selection procedures may take place if the person responsible for the procedure deems, based on an assessment, that there are no public health risks. 

Electronic or internet-based means of communication must be preferred.

University staff (teaching, research, administrative and technical staff) will continue to be available until further notice, except for meetings with students and visiting crowded places, as described above. It is advisable to avoid travel out of the Province of Trento.

The University is constantly in contact with the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Provincial Health Care Service, the City of Trento and Rovereto and the Italian Ministry of Education and Research, is monitoring risk factors and will take appropriate action as required.
