Five UniTrento Topsport athletes to compete in Winter Olympics

Nadya Ochner, Riccardo Tonetti, Davide Ghiotto, Michele Malfatti and Andrea Pilzer are participating in the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang 2018

Athletes representing the University of Trento are part of Team Italy in the XXIII Winter Olympics at PyeongChang Olympic Stadium.

Five TOPSport student-athletes who have chosen the UniTrento sport and study programme designed for those who wish to combine professional sport activities and university education were called-up by the Italian team. 

The student-athletes from UniTrento are Nadya Ochner, Riccardo Tonetti, Davide Ghiotto, Michele Malfatti e Andrea Pilzer.

Nadya Ochner, in her fourth year at the Faculty of Law, is a member of the snowboard team (parallel slalom). 
Riccardo Tonetti, a management student working on his Master’s degree, competes in downhill ski.
Two TOPSport athletes are in the speed skating team: Davide Ghiotto, a third year student in Philosophy, and Michele Malfatti, a third year student in Industrial Engineering.
Andrea Pilzer, member of the curling team, is a PhD student and TOPSport graduate in Electronic Engineering with a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
