Geremia Gios, full professor of the Department of Economics and Management of UniTrento, was appointed member of Commissione dei dodici (Committee of the twelve), the body responsible for defining the areas of responsibility of autonomous governments.
On 10 January, the minister of Regional affairs and Autonomies, Francesco Boccia, signed the decree designating the members representing the State in the committee of Trentino-Alto Adige on regional implementation laws, in compliance with article 107 of Statuto speciale (the special statute of autonomy of the region).
Besides Geremia Gios, the other members of the committee are Luca Crisafulli, Esther Happacher, Antonino Ilacqua, Gianfranco Postal, Rosa Michela Rizzi, and Fabio Scalet and Manfred Schullian, who had already been designated by the Regional Council; the members designated by the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano are, respectively, Franca Penasa and Ugo Rossi, and Meinhard Durnwalder and Carlo Vettori.
The University congratulates Professor Gios on his appointment and wishes him success in his new role.
