EMMI Interdisciplinary Workshop on Supersolidity
Where: the seat of the Economics and Management Department, in the 'Aula Silvestri' conference room, via Inama 5, Trento
Time: 20-22 Sept. 2021
Description
The Interdisciplinary Workshop on Supersolidity will be unique in bringing together various research communities from condensed matter to quantum gases and nuclear physics in order to foster collaboration and exchanges of ideas. Recent advances in this field have been encouraging to explore in an interdisciplinary fashion the various aspects of supersolidity and modulated states of matter, focusing on different mechanisms and experimental platforms. The latter include: Dipolar gases, Rydberg and soft-core interacting gases, Spin-orbit coupled gases, Lattice supersolidity, Self-bound droplets, FFLO phase, Solid helium, Neutron stars and pasta phase.
The workshop is organised in collaboration with the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences , the Center on Bose-Einstein Condensation - BEC Center and supported by The ExtreMe Matter Institute EMMI at GSI. The workshop is also a satellite workshop of the BEC2021 conference in Sant Feliu de Guixols.
