Cortese, Giorgini and Gozzi confirmed as department directors

Last round of elections at UniTrento, and precisely at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (12 July), at the Department of Humanities (15 July), and at the Faculty of Law (20 July), where all the former directors have been re-elected.

Paolo Giorgini has been confirmed as director of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science with 45 votes. Of the 60 eligible voters, 45 cast their ballot. Originally from Recanati, Giorgini is Professor of Information computing systems and has been at UniTrento since 1998.

Another re-election at the department of Humanities, where Marco Gozzi, Professor of Musicology and History of music, received 78 votes out of 91 votes cast, with 13 blank votes. Of the 109 eligible voters, 91 cast their ballot. Born in Levico, Gozzi has been at the University of Trento since 2007.

At the Faculty of Law, the election took place in person. In this case, too, the former director, Fulvio Cortese, was confirmed in his role. He received 77 votes out of 81 votes cast, with 2 blank votes and 2 void votes. Of the 95 eligible voters, 81 cast their ballot. Professor Cortese was born in Bassano del Grappa and has been teaching Administrative law at the University of Trento since 2002.

The three directors will take office on 1st October and will lead their departments for three more years, until 30 September 2024.
