Audience: all interested colleagues from academia (also PhD Students) and administration

Background: The supervision of PhD students at Italian Universities is within the frame of 3-years PhD programs (cycles). The supervision has to follow international scientific quality standards. Within the 3-years program, the PhD student and the supervisor(s) have to cooperate in a team in order to achieve the didactic and, in particular the scientific objectives. The seminar will provide PhD supervisors and program coordinators with information on PhD programs in Italy in general and, in particular, several aspects, which support the PhD supervisors in their cooperation with PhD students and with regard to achieving a high scientific quality. The seminar will provide contributions by invited speakers.
