Riccardo Zuccarino:  Centro Clinico NeMo (Pergine - TN)

The NEMO Clinical Center (NEuroMuscular Omnicentre) was created to take care of people suffering from neuromuscular diseases, such as ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and Muscular Dystrophies.
Today there are 40,000 people in our country who live with this type of highly disabling pathologies, with a serious social impact, characterized by long and complex care and assistance paths.
To respond to the need for care of those suffering from a neuromuscular disease, at the NeMO Clinical Center we work together with the person and his family, activating personalized treatment and rehabilitation programs, highly specialized, designed according to each age and for each stage of the disease. At NeMO everything revolves around the person, thanks to a targeted model of multidisciplinary management, which combines assistance and research.
The description of how care and clinical research is developed at NEMO will be illustrated along with possibilities for collaboration and interaction.
