Epigenetic regulation in muscular dystrophy and obesity

We are interested in understanding the role played by histone modifications, repetitive DNA and long non protein-coding RNAs in regulating the interaction with the environment and drive tissue-specific responses.

Here I will summarize our recent results concerning the epigenetic regulation of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue differentiation and how alteration of these processes contributes to muscular dystrophy and obesity.
