The introduction of ChatGPT to the general public in November 2022 has had an enormous societal impact. But how is the model so good at understanding language? What techniques made this possible?
In this seminar I will give a brief introduction in the field of Natural Language Processing, and explain some of the techniques that made a model like ChatGPT possible.
