Kick-off Management Engineering Challenge

The Management Engineering Challenge is about to start! Students and companies are getting to know each other for an important goal.
Teams of university students, enrolled in Master's degree programs and mentored by researchers, will apply advanced management engineering methods to develop actionable solutions that the companies and organisations that take part in the Challenge can use to innovate their own processes and management practices according to the principles of production management and control (i.e., lean management, just in time production, reconfigurable production systems, digital twins). 
The selected companies and organizations that will participate in the challenge are:

The Program

1st session (3:30 - 4.30 PM)

Introduction by Prof. Francesco Pilati, supervisor of the initiative. 
Presentation of the three participating companies.

2nd session (4:30 – 6:30 PM)

Tecnical kick-off to the Challenge.
Participants will be divided into three groups to develop actionable solutions concerning the analysis, optimization, and management of production processes.

After the kick-off meeting, each group of students, mentor and company representative will solve the related challenge in the course of the following weeks, up until the closing of the Initiative. Students will be required to deliver their solutions in the form of a technical report before November 27th. Following this, the closing event will take place to discuss results and  the best team will be declared.
