Winter School ECOPADS 2019, From linear to circular thinking
ProM Facility @Trentino Sviluppo – Via Zeni, 8 - Rovereto (Trento)
Introduction
In the framework of the upscaling European project: ECOPADS - Eliminating COpper from brake PADS and recycling, funded by the EIT KIC Raw Materials, the Project Consortium is organizing a winter School aiming at discussing and promoting some of the central themes of the KIC Raw Materials, like circular economy, product sustainability, life cycle assessment (LCA) L and life cycle cost assessment (LCCA).
The target audience of the School will be a mix of research students, researchers and industry professionals with scientific, technological and economical background. This choice is meant to promote stimulating and fruitful interactions among participants, that will be particularly important in team work and game activities, both of them central in the program of the School.
The School program is completed by a full day dedicated to additive manufacturing technologies, organized within the strategic research project, AIMI 4.0 - Additive and Intelligent Manufacturing for Industry 4.0, financed by the University of Trento. This thematic event, held at the site of a major additive manufacturing facility (ProM – Mechatronic Prototyping, in Rovereto, close by Trento) is meant illustrate the potentials and development perspectives that this wide spreading technology is affording to industrial production. A particular focus on the circular economy and close loop production cycles will be adopted.
The participation to the School is free but the registration is mandatory.
Registration
Registration is closed
Participation includes all the School activities, coffee breaks and lunches during the sessions and evening dinners, including the School social dinner. Sharing the social events is a deliberate choice in order to promote team building and open discussions on the School topics and on the general themes of the KIC-Raw Materials.
A participation certificate will be released, that can be submitted for the relevant credit assignment procedures.
