Lowbrasys: new materials and technology for disc-pad brake system

The occasion of this Workshop is the recently started H2020 European Project LOWBRASYS – A  LOW environmental impact BRAke SYStem.

The main focus of the Project is the development of a novel automotive brake system that will allow a major reduction in particulate matter emission.

A strategic role of this task will be the played by new materials for pads and discs, for which surface modifications through treatments and coating deposition are other possible approaches.

The  Workshop  will be an opportunity to share experiences and to discuss the latest achievements in this field, involving researchers and engineers from academia, industry, and research laboratories.

Keynote and invited lectures will be presented by international leading scientists. In the program open discussion sessions will be scheduled as important moments to exchange ideas from different disciplines.
