Facebook, one of the biggest tech companies in the world, will be part of our DISI Industrial Workshops - Fall edition 2021 with an extended seminar composed of three specific talks:

• Think big - Motivational talk describing the journey from university student to Software Engineer at Facebook, and describing the opportunities available at large tech companies
  Speaker: Aurelio De Rosa. Software Engineering Manager at Facebook, he is the first and only Italian JQuery team member, having also published two books on the topic. Has authored multiple research papers and more than one hundred technical articles. 
   
• Interviewing at a tech company: What to expect from, and how to prepare for, some of the most important job interviews of your career
  Speaker: Luca Gasparini. Software Engineer at Facebook, with more than 10 years of experience building web applications for some of the largest players in the sector, including Google and IBM. He interviewed more than 500 candidates throughout his career.
   
• News Feed: How machine learning powers Facebook’s News Feed ranking algorithm
  Speaker: Riccardo Vitale. Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook, he is passionate about algorithms, data structures, AI and code efficiency. Previous experiences include Google and multiple startups.
