Abstract

AWS Research Roadshow is the event that brings the AWS expertise at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science.

The seminar purpose is to explore a number of use cases into these topics: machine learning, security, hybrid computing, HPC.

About the Speakers

Matteo Cocco, Account Executive Education and Research at Amazon Web Services Italia

Matteo helps universities and research institutions to approach the digital transition through cloud computing.

Roberta Piscitelli, Business Strategy Manager at Amazon Web Services

Roberta has a background in information technologies and services with international institutions including the European Space Agency and the European Commission. She has a PhD in computer science focused on optimization models and AI applied to embedded systems design from the University of Amsterdam and completed an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management with a focus on Strategy, Business Negotiation and Marketing.

Andrea Catalano, Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services Italia

Andrea helps clients in the Education world, supporting them in the design of secure, robust and scalable architectures capable of best addressing their needs.  He has collaborated with most of the Italian Universities covering roles of System Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Architect, System Integration Manager.
