Abstract:
In many natural mass transportation problems it is convenient to group together particles during the moving process: this produces branched minimizers. The most popular models consider a transportation cost which is proportional to a fractional power of the mass flow along the network created by the particles' trajectories.
By stability of the problem we mean the property that a sequence of minimizers for an approximating sequence of given data, converge to a minimizer of the limit problem. Such property is known only under certain regimes. In this talk I will describe a work in progress with M. Colombo and A. De Rosa, where we prove the stability in full generality.
