The cycle “Doc in Progress” consists of a series of meetings with dissemination purposes.
The speakers are chosen from among currently PhD students, as the name suggests, in Mathematics or related fields. The main aim of the project is the creations of the chance to meet other PhD students in order to offer opportunities for dialogue and possible future collaborations.

Asymptotic equivalence of two strict deformation quantizations and applications to the classical limit
Venue: Online event
The concept of strict deformation quantization provides a
mathematical formalism that describes the transition from a classical theory to a quantum theory in terms of deformations of (commutative) Poisson algebras (representing the classical theory) into non-commutative C˚-algebras (characterizing the quantum theory). In this seminar we introduce the definitions, give several examples and provide applications regarding the classical limit of a quantum (spin) system.
