In this seminar prof. Acquavita will provide an overview on the most relevant challenges and opportunities facing social work education in the USA today. The recent socio-economic political changes that have invested the United States have also had effects on the practice of social workers and their education. New problems, new sensitivities and new themes have emerged within a context that appears to be constantly evolving. In the complex network of causes of effects and their manifestations, prof. Acquavita will select some of the most important aspects for a better understanding of what is going on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
