Course Goals
The course intends to offer specific knowledge about some of the most important techniques for evaluating public policies. In a context of rationalization of public spending, the application of reliable methods for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of public administration is strictly necessary. In particular, two case studies will be presented which will concern, respectively, an efficiency analysis of Italian local government institutions (provinces) and a counterfactual approach for the evaluation of the effectiveness of a specific policy devoted to support enterprises.
A certificate of attendance will be granted to all participants completing the course.
