The Legal Framework of Data Law in China

China is one of the top countries in terms of data-driven digital economy in the world. With rapid growth of digital economy, China has, since 2016, enacted a series of statutes governing data governance which form cornerstones for solid development of its digital economy in future. The lecture will introduce the legislative and regulatory systems of data law in China and its impact on digital economy domestically and globally.
