We study turbulence in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate. By solving the coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations, we show a possibility of generation of turbulence on late stages of dynamics of unstable capillary waves on an interface between two superfluids. Numerical analysis reveals Kolmogorov scaling in the incompressible kinetic energy, and a spin-turbulent scaling in the pseudo-spin energy.
Analytical calculations provide description of hydrodynamic phenomena: capillary waves, counter-flow instability, Rayleigh-Taylor instability, Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. The physical parameters used in calculations suggest that the process may be realized experimentally which opens a new way to generate and observe quantum turbulence in the laboratory.
