The Industrial Group Zegna grants through this initiative scholarships to young graduates and PhD students who are particularly talented and were signalled by their University and willing to continue their studies with a post-degree or post-doc specialisation, or carry out a research programme in a renowned university or research institutions abroad to then come back to Italy.
Candidatures are welcome from people respecting the following pre-requisites:
- be Italian citizens or live permanently in Italy;
- be graduating in a master’s degree course or in a five-year course of the University with an average mark of 26/30 or higher; if the candidates have already graduated, their final mark must be 105/110 or higher; if candidates are PhD they must have obtained their title at the University of Trento;
- have been admitted (even subject upon condition) to the post-degree or post-doc programme abroad for which the candidates intend to participate in the project.
Financing, terms and conditions:
The winners will be selected among the candidates who have been selected in the various universities participating in the initiative. They will receive a grant not lower than 50,000.00 Euro covering up to 3 years.
The grant winners are required to come back to Italy within a reasonable amount of time, after completing their studies or researches abroad and to stay in Italy for at least three years for each year they have spent abroad within the framework of the grant awarding programme. The grant winners who will not respect these criteria will be required to reimburse their grant.
Candidates are required to submit their application by 15 April 2015.
