Club Alpbach Trentino's Conference on migrations - Call for papers presentation

Crossing the borders, staying. The European Union faces migration

It is now open the call for presentations to participate to one of the panels (description below) of the international conference: “Crossing the borders or staying? The EU faces migration”, hosted by the Club Alpbach Trentino in cooperation with the University of Trento and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of Trento.

The presentations proposals should be sent to: info [at] clubalpbachtn.it. The object of the email should contain “SURNAME_PANEL N. X”.

The deadline for submission is 15 October 2016. The proposal - in word format or equivalent - should not exceed 500 words and should be followed by a short bio of the presenter/s (max 200 words).

Confirmations of the accepted presentations are sent out on 21 October 2016. The call is open to scholars, young researchers, and practitioners.

Every panel is organized with an introduction from the panel chair, followed by 15 minutes’ presentations (max 4 presentations each panel), to leave room for discussion.

Panel 1: European borders and the role of Frontex 
Panel 2: Agreements with third countries: what implications arise? 
Panel 3: recent developments and recurrent issues with the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) 
Panel 4: Asylum seekers reception policies and the criminalization of solidarity
