The “2015 PhD Days of Water Engineering” meeting will be held in Trento from 6th to 8th July. Organization is by the Italian Group of Hydraulic (Gii) and by the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Trento.

All PhD students and researchers in the field of water-related areas and fluid mechanics (Italian sectors 08/A1 and 07/C1-AGR/08) are kindly invited.

The sessions will be mainly devoted to the presentation of the research activity of the doctoral students; a few seminars will be organized about hard and soft skills, and keynotes will be given by experts in water-related topics, in order to create a connection among the students and experts in the field (see the preliminary program). The invited speakers are professors Rigon, De Girolamo and D'Odorico.

All PhD students interested are invited to register using the on-line form, filling in the personal details, the topic of their presentation and the request for economic support.

Expenses of the doctoral students (accommodation, breakfast, local transfer, social dinner) will be covered by Gii "on a first-come-first-served basis" up to a limit of 50 participants. Note that a valid Gii membership is required to obtain the economic support.
For the first 50 participants, accommodation will be organized in double or triple rooms at the
“Studentato San Bartolameo” of the Opera Universitaria of Trento, with check-in on 5th July and check-out on 8th July (3 nights); participants should book themselves.
For participants not require financial support, to verify the rooms availability at the Studentato San Bartolameo contact Lorena Galante (

Local trains can be used for transfer from Studentato, station “Trento San Bartolameo”, to DICAM, station “Povo-Mesiano” (duration 9 minutes, frequency every 30 minutes).

Oral presentations will be given in Italian (or English for foreign students) with slides in English. The duration will depend on the number of participants (tentatively, 15 minutes for students at II and III year, and 5-7 minutes for students at I year).
