Fuori dall'Ombra - Out of the shadow

After two red benches were installed months ago in the Mesiano campus and at the Fabio Ferrari Science and Technology Campus in Povo, the project “Fuori dall’ombra” (Out of the shadow) now continues in Rovereto (TN). The red benches, designed by groups of students of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM) of the University of Trento, aim to stimulate reflection on gender violence. 

The project, coordinated by Giovanna A. Massari of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, therefore finds an opportunity to expand to other departments of the University and other organizations of the territory.

The unveiling of a new red bench at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science will be preceded by a conference at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science and the installation of the exhibition of the designs of the groups of students of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering at the Rovereto University Library and the G. Tartarotti City Library. The exhibition will give visitors, once again, the chance to appreciate the social function of architecture and its potential to transform places and evoke the theme of respect, including in a multidisciplinary vision. 

The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science, the Committee for Equal Opportunities, the Servizio per il Sostegno Occupazionale e la Valorizzazione Ambientale (Employment Support Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento) and XLam Dolomiti Srl contributed to the creation of the red bench.

The event is supported by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies with the participation of the Girolamo Tartarotti Civic Library of Rovereto and Opera Universitaria.
