The discussion table on open access to scientific publications, established within the Open Science Committee, has organized an event to talk about IRIS, the Institutional Research Information System, among Italian universities. The meeting aims to examine how the tool is used and how users are trained, to highlight issues and good practices that can be useful to implement improvements.

The participants are invited to start a discussion around the topics below:

  1. Research repositories and university strategies: how can they be used to support governance choices?
  2. Research repositories and users' functions: what guidelines and training activities?
  3. Research repositories and technical-administrative services: how to validate and prepare staff?
  4. Research repositories and other internal and external repositories: which ones and how accessible?
