The first edition of the National Days of the PhD in Space Science and Technology will be organized by the University of Trento, the administrative headquarters of the Doctorate Program, and will span over two days.

The initiative aims to provide the presentation and in-depth exploration of this new form of PhD, bringing together for two days in Trento the 33 students of the first cycle, who will share their experiences and research activities with each other.

During the event, the main services supporting the PhD career will be presented, and it will be possible to hear testimonies from PhD students who will share their experiences, opportunities, challenges, and prospects offered by the program.

The event will also see the participation of representatives from university institutions and research organizations that have funded the PhD scholarships.

On July 4th at 6:00 PM, at the Auditorium of the Department of Letters and Philosophy, Astronaut and Aerospace Engineer Paolo Nespoli will be the protagonist of an event open to the public on the topic of "Human Exploration of Space." Paolo Nespoli has undertaken three space missions, including two long-duration stays on the International Space Station. As a versatile essayist, he published his latest novel, "L'unico giorno giusto per arrendersi" (The Only Right Day to Surrender), at the end of 2022. Access to the event is free, but reservation is required. More information is available on the dedicated webpage.
