Applications to the Industrial AI Challenge, a new innovation contest by HIT- Hub Innovazione Trentino, are open.
The initiative targets university students, recent graduates and PhD students interested in developing artificial intelligence solutions on top of datasets presented by companies seeking to solve industrial challenges.
During the Challenge, starting from 24 September and until 10 December 2021, teams of students from different departments of University of Trento will apply data science and machine learning techniques to datasets provided by companies to develop predictive models and data-driven solutions for automated product quality control, machinery failure detection, predictive maintenance, optimization of production planning and supply chain operations, logistics, as well as robots operations.
Students, who will compete to be awarded a final prize (find out more on the public Notice for selection of students) must apply by 25 June 2021.

NB: Students enrolled in the “AI for Innovation” course of the Master in Artificial Intelligent Systems of DISI, or in the “Laboratory of Internet of things” course of the DII will have the opportunity to take part in the Challenge as part of those course programs.
