Micro-modules and challenges directly from companies and organizations

for an innovative international experience with ECIU University

Versione stampabile

The Universities of ECIU Consortium have launched some micro-modules and challenges (most of which are online) which proposes current, real-world challenges faced by existing business companies and governmental institutions to small groups of university students from all over the world for analysis and innovative solutions.

The University of Trento, as a member of the Consortium, encourages UniTrento senior students (3rd-year Bachelor's and Master's) to participate, free of charge, in one of the challenges available during the 1st semester a.y. 2020/21. Within each box you can find the deadline for sending your application, details on the challenge: typology, length, contents, credits awarded, contact information and the link for registration.

Upon successful and certified completion of the experience, students may be awarded UniTrento elective credits according to the regulations of each Department. For specific questions about credits students should contact their relevant Student Support and Study Program Offices.

More importantly, other than the potential credits earned, participation in solving challenges will let you make the real impact in the community, city and region. Next to that, challenge-based learning will enable you to work in multi-disciplinary and/or international teams, learn inter-cultural competences, develop problem-solving and team-work competences.

The ECIU University is an initiative of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU alliance), of which UniTrento is a member, that creates a ground-breaking and innovative educational model on a European scale. The ultimate goal of ECIU University project is to establish a real European University where learners, researchers, businesses, public organizations and citizens are enabled to create relevant innovative solutions for real-life challenges with real societal impact.
