InnovaMeat study: Innovation in the field of Alternative Protein sources for Sustainability

Meat consumption has been shown to significantly contribute to the depletion of natural resources of the planet; the interest towards sustainable protein sources has gained importance in the last decades, leading to the creation of countless alternatives to meat products, with a lower environmental impact.

The aim of the InnovaMeat project is to find out people’s perception of a food product reproducing the real biologic characteristics of meat, thanks to the use of new cutting-edge technologies. This “new meat” that may be introduced on our tables in the near future, has a lower impact on environmental resources and would satisfy people’s desire for meat.
