Trento will host on April 12,13 and 14 the national finals of the Robocup Junior Academy 2018; a robotic competition dedicated to secondary school students.  Its goal is to promote and disseminate a project-based learning on robotics in order to allow an efficient approach to robotics.

The national competition will take place at the venues of Trento Fiere and Teatro Arcivescovile School - provided by the Istituto Tecnico Economico "A. Tambosi ", leader of the Trentino Territorial Network S.T.A.A.R.R (Trentino AltoAdige Association Schools for Robotics).

The event will be attended by 180 teams for over 800 students from all over Italy, through which they will have access to the World competition.

The Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science collaborates in organizing the event with guidance activities, showcasing the research activities dedicated to robotics to the students. The Department will also provide a judge and twelve referees.
